Kira Gibson

Kira Gibson is a Ukiah native, raised in the SPACE program. She has performed and taken classes since the age of three. After graduating from Ukiah High School, she coached the High School dance team. Kira attended Cabrillo Junior College and was a part of the dance program, performing in Santa Cruz and San Francisco. While receiving her BA from SFSU, Kira danced within their program. Hip-hop, contemporary, modern, salsa, African, and creative dance are all in her repertoire. In 2012 she returned to Ukiah for a teaching credential from Dominican University, and began working as a 6th grade teacher at Pomolita Middle School. She has choreographed, co-directed and written scripts for the teen shows, and continues to be a part of spreading dance throughout our community inside and out of the classroom.
