Kim Shepard - Administrative Assistant
Kim Shepard moved to Mendocino County in 1999, when her eldest was 2 and her youngest wasn’t born yet. When her children started the Waldorf School of Mendocino County, she became quite involved in all aspects of volunteering and was the Board President in the early 2000’s. Kim doesn’t quite remember who told her to sign her daughter up for the summer camp in 2006, but that was the year the Shepard family found SPACE. Kim studied Art History at UC Irvine, but decided to run off to Indiana to become a horse jockey in 1991, before getting that degree. Alas, she is not a horse jockey, but quite the girl Friday. Customer service and data entry, might not be the most glamorous or prestigious of careers, but Kim has mastered the art of doing so with much flair and gusto. Kim worked with SPACE back in 2006 to 2007, leaving only because the family moved to Sonoma County. Moving back to the county in 2018, after her youngest graduated high school, Kim shuffled around doing odd jobs, before joining the SPACE team once again in 2023, and couldn’t be more pleased about it.
