Olivia Zamora

Olivia Zamora (Stage Director of La Pastorela) was born in Mexico and educated in public schools in Mexico City. Her best memories are with her family—Dad, Mom, and seven brothers, all very close. Life in Mexico City was harsh, hurried, and very busy. Her life changed when she entered the College of Sciences and Humanities at the University of Mexico (CCH-UNAM) and focused her studies around the defense of social rights and the most revolutionary causes of the moment. There she participated in TACO (Artistic Choreographic Workshop) and also trained three hours daily in a sport she had been practicing since the age of 5, roller skating. She became a serious competitor and eventually worked organizing competitive events throughout the Mexican Republic and South America. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Science.
