Tracy Theriot
Tracy Theriot fell in love with dance after performing in her first musical as a child—choreographed by Laurel Near. In high school she was introduced to Leslie Saxon-West and took classes in choreography and performance at Mendocino College. She went on to receive a double BFA degree in Choreography/Performance and Communications with a minor in ethnic studies at Mills College in Oakland. She had the honor of performing for many years with San Francisco Bay Area artists and companies and was a Co-Director at the community performance space 848 Community Space. With a complimentary background in non-profit arts administration, she worked for San Francisco Performances, Margaret Jenkins Dance Company, Steven Petronio, and Bay Area Dance Association, as well as serving on the steering committee of the West Coast Contact Festival. Through those years she returned often to set work and teach at Mendocino College. She currently runs CrossFit Firefly in Ukiah and homeschools three children who also dance and work at SPACE. She has been thrilled to collaborate with artists and directors at SPACE and choreograph in the musical theater and dance programs.
