Ignacio Ayala, Deputy Director
Ignacio Ayala, Latino Program Director and Deputy Director, began taking classes at SPACE when he was nine years old and has been involved continually since then. Ignacio works full time at SPACE, organizing and creating Latino programming, recruiting students, creating collaborations, doing web design and social media, and designing lights and stage managing for productions. Ayala was brought to the United States by his parents when he was five years old and after a seven year process became a U.S citizen in 2017. In Fall of 2018 Ignacio directed “Noche de Estrellas,” a Spanish Language talent show, that showcased over 20 acts and featured people from 7 years old to 70. While directing “Noche de Estrellas,” he organized a street fair celebration for Mexican Independence Day. In 2019, besides producing the two Spanish languages performances at SPACE, he gets to be a featured actor in one of them.
